three years ago today (yes, this picture is from three years ago.. NOT today!), I was running around Bloomington trying to find an outfit that would impress my huge-even though I didn’t want to like anyone-crush on mr. jeremy lee. we had briefly met 10 days prior at a superbowl party and had talked via facebook and a litte at cru for the 10 days in between our first introduction and valentine’s day.
we happened to have 18 single friends (9 guys and 9 girls) and one of them had put together a huge valentine’s day date where all 20 of us got dressed up and met at a friend’s house where the boys proceeded to draw a girls’ name out of the hat, this girl would be his “date” for the rest of the night as we all went to o’charleys and then later on to play games at someone’s apartment. well, jeremy’s good friend (josh cooper) drew my name and jeremy drew my good friend (jannelle mccomb) name which was ironic because jannelle and josh liked each other and well, it was obvious about me and jeremy lol. so, the four of us hung out the entire night, basically ignoring the other 16 people and had a blast. Later on, Jeremy and I talked just the two of us for 2 hours or so and by the end of the night, we clearly liked one another, even though we both had vowed not to someone date until later on in college.
well.. God’s plan always seems to be so much different than ours as even though we had made that individual promise before we met each other, we fell hard for one another and after valentine’s day, spent a lot of time together getting to know one another and shortly thereafter, on march 6, 2006 jeremy asked me to be his girlfriend.. then march 6, 2008 I became his fiance!! and in 41 days, his wife
life is funny
anyways, so even though valentine’s day can tend to be cheesy, it does hold a special meaning for us as we remember like it was yesterday hanging out at the table across from o’charley’s trying not to act too interested in one another.. and now we go to o’charley’s every valentine’s day together…,.. yum! Happy Valentine’s Day
