We LOVED LOVED LOOOOOOOVED all of our vendors for our wedding.  Seriously, they were awesome! Definitely take the time to do your research when picking wedding vendors because they will make or break your special day.  With that said, I want to share ours with you in case you are looking around for yourself or someone else!  Wedding vendors usually go only off referral so if you use someone that we did, please let them know we referred them because we want to help them out!!

Our wedding venue was the Omni Severin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis.

Our photographer, who was simply amazing, was Mike Bresnen, out of Cincinnati.

Our beautiful flowers were created by Angela Jacobs of the Painted Daisy, who works out of Indianapolis.

Our awesome DJ who kept everyone dancing the entire night was Jeremy Gearries of DJs Direct.

All of the ladies hair and makeup was done by Melissa Pressler,  out of Indianapolis.

Our sweet cupcake bar and grooms cake was designed and made by Gigi Powell of the Flying Cupcake.

The guy’s tuxes were from Men’s Wearhouse, the girl’s bridesmaids dresses were from David’s Bridal, and my dress that I LOOOOOVED was from the Posie Patch Bridal Store in Indianapolis.

I had my wedding dress taken from a size 12 down to a size 1 (long story but to sum it up, it was cheaper to buy the bigger size and have it altered) and the woman who did all of that plus made my dress look even more beautiful was Marie Frey, out of Indianapolis.

The rehearsal dinner was at the Milano Inn in downtown Indianapolis.

And… our wedding coordinator was ME   and I would love love love to help coordinate yours as well My career goal is to open my own wedding business, I’m just waiting a little bit to do it full-time but use me now while I’m cheap

oh AND Jeremy has a hernia!! AHH!!! please pray that we are able to get him into surgery quickly and safely

We think we have found our first church that we will call “home” as a married couple

We went yesterday and although we had checked it out a few times before, this time it really hit us.. We actually got up at 7:30 so that we could make the 8:45 Sunday School class and then headed to the 10:15 church service.  It was awesome and I think it was the first time Jeremy and I have really felt connected to the Lord in a worshipful atmosphere since IU.  We’re trying to get involved in a LifeChurch and Jeremy’s schedule might be changing so that we can take some classes based for newly married couples too

Sorry for the lack of posts.. I promise to update more.. Here’s a recap as to why we have been away from the blog:

We don’t have internet in our apartment- in the toss-up between cable and internet, we chose DirectTV so we’re only on at work (oops) or at Starbucks which is thankfully 30 seconds away from our home.

AND

Amber’s boss quit. Yep. so now I am the sole Sales Team for both hotels. it’s a tad bit crazy right now.

AND

Emily & Michael got engaged so we were down in Bloomington for a few days

AND

Our parent’s missed us and came visit.. and they brought grandparents with them…

so there are our excuses   it’s been a fun month of marriage.  things are slowing down a bit which is wonderful More wedding pictures and updates to come soon!! promise!

MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD IS ENGAGED!!!!! AHH!!!

Emily and I met our freshman year of college while on a spring break trip to Panama City Beach, FL with Crusade.  We had never met beforehand but numerous people had told us individually that we would become best friends… and they were right! We are so much alike and have been nicknamed each other’s “other half.”  Jeremy and Michael (Emily’s FIANCE) are really close friends as well and the 4 of us have gone on numerous double dates throughout college (and now hopefully in Indy because that’s where they might be living )… When Michael called two weeks ago to tell me he was going to propose, I think I peed my pants. Jeremy and I were so excited, but since I’m a girl I was more excited and I had the hardest time talking to Em on the phone throughout the weeks without mentioning anything!  I am so proud of them and admire their relationship so much- they truly persevere after the Lord and work hard at their relationship.  So many people look up to them and it’s awesome to see God bringing them together.. ahh!! I was fortunate to be able to leave work early to head down to Bloomington to spend the night with Em after the proposal and am excited because Jeremy and I are going back down to Btown this weekend to hang out with them some more

the time has finally come for the name of this blog to change!!!!!

March 27, 2009 was the absolute most wonderful, beautiful, amazing day of our lives.. Our wedding ceremony and reception will always hold a dear place in our hearts- if you were there, thank you for making that time so special for us

We took our honeymoon to St. Thomas which is in the Virgin Islands.. It was THE BEST week of our lives. I cannot count how many times we laughed so hard we cried More on all this to come.. I have to go meet my HUSBAND at the furniture store
